05 — Why a leaf outlives paper

Palm leaf carried India’s scriptures for a thousand years before paper arrived here. Prepared properly, it still outlasts it.
It resists time
Cured leaf is dimensionally stable and naturally resistant to insects and damp — the reason medieval manuscripts still survive in Indian archives.
It holds the hand
An engraved letter is cut into the surface, not laid on top of it. Nothing to fade, flake or run.
It asks to be used
A manuscript belongs in a puja room, not behind glass. It is meant to be lifted, read and handed on.

How long does a manuscript take?
Each piece is made only after you order, so allow a short crafting window before dispatch. You receive tracking as soon as it ships.
Can I choose the language after ordering?
The leaf is prepared for one script, so the edition is chosen at the time of order. If you need to change it, write to us before crafting begins.
How should it be cared for?
Keep it away from direct damp and harsh sunlight and handle it with dry hands. Care guidance ships with every manuscript.
Do you take bulk or corporate orders?
Yes — for weddings, temple trusts, festive gifting and corporate gifting. Send us a request with quantities and your timeline.
Can you engrave my own text?
Yes. Share the text, language and number of copies through our custom order form and we will reply with options and pricing.
Is payment secure?
Payments are handled by Razorpay, supporting UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. Crevoworks never stores your card or banking details.
